Links & Drams was founded with one clear purpose: to share the best of northern Scotland’s golf, whisky, and culture with honesty, insight, and Highland hospitality.

I’m originally from Oban, and my family now live in Buckie, right on the Moray Firth. It’s a stunning stretch of coastline and one of Scotland’s best-kept secrets for golfers and whisky lovers alike.

I’m a former professional rugby player, a 3-handicap golfer, and currently a Deputy Headteacher based in the Middle East. Travel, education, and sport have shaped my life, but my heart has always remained rooted in Scotland.

I’ve had the privilege of caddying on the DP World, and was lucky enough to play alongside Edoardo Molinari in the Qatar Masters Pro-Am. These experiences deepened my appreciation for world-class golf and the people who play it.

I’m also a proud former member of Glencruitten Golf Club, the home club of Ryder Cup star Robert MacIntyre. I understand the magic of playing a course that locals love and visitors often overlook.

After years of guiding friends, family, and colleagues through the hidden gems of the Highlands, I created Links & Drams to offer visitors something more than a standard itinerary.
